Handwoven in Uzbekistan, our silk velvet ikat carries forward a centuries-old Central Asian textile tradition. Before weaving, the yarns are tied and dyed by hand to map out each pattern, so the design lives in the threads themselves. Where the colors meet, they soften into ikat's signature abr, or "cloud," edge — a natural hallmark of the technique that gives every motif its depth and painterly character.
